It is hard to figure out what to write tonight. I have typed words and erased them several times. Nothing seems right . . . just as life sometimes does not make sense.
There was a murder in our area that has affected many, many families that I know. A missionary woman was murdered in her home yesterday . . . she and her family had been living at her parents' home while they were not on the missionary field. My heart breaks for the family and I ask you to pray for them.
Trying to find something to be thankful for is hard tonight. The purpose of 1,000 gifts is to find something to be thankful for each and every day.

We REALLY wanted snow, but all we are getting is rain. It is dreary and gross outside. I so wanted white and pretty. Oh well, I guess that means we won't have gray and mucky . . . which is a good thing to which I am Thankful!

She and an Amazing 20th Birthday! So many wonderful people wished her Happy Birthday blessings!!! Grandpa even called her and sang "Grandpa'd" his rendition of the Happy Birthday song! Those of you who know him know what I am speaking of! lol The boys all gave her gifts and sang THEIR version on the Happy Birthday song - "You LOOK like and ARTIST and you SMELL like one TOO!" Katelyn smiled . . .
Gift 111 . . . My Mom and Dad watched the boys for us today so Katelyn, Randy and I could go to lunch to celebrate Katelyn's upcoming 20th Birthday on Monday. It was so very lovely and we had a wonderful time!
I feel so blessed to have such a loving and compassionate Mrs. M in our classroom on Thursdays. The day was spent making Blankets for Babies in Haiti . . . and then they prayed over them . . . it was beautiful!
